Report: Daniel Garcia Originally Considered For Blackpool Combat Club

Daniel Garcia may have joined Blackpool Combat Club if a request hadn't been made

Following the formation of Blackpool Combat Club with Bryan Danielson, Jon Moxley, and William Regal, the group was expected to add several rising stars to their ranks, with The American Dragon mentioning Daniel Garcia, Lee Moriarty, and Wheeler Yuta as recruits when the faction was first teased.

Wheeler Yuta ultimately joined the stable following his bloodbath with Jon Moxley but Daniel Garcia was surprisingly revealed as a member of The Jericho Appreciation Society on the post-Revolution edition of Dynamite.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Garcia was discussed as a potential member of Blackpool Combat Club but those conversations were shelved once Chris Jericho "personally picked" Red Death to be a member of the Jericho Appreciation Society.

Since joining the JAS, Garcia has been prominently featured at the side of the former AEW World Champion along with Jake Hager, Matt Menard, and Angelo Parker.

The 23-year-old also recently discussed joining the faction, noting he wanted to learn how to be a sports entertainer, especially as he was already a very good wrestler inside the squared circle.
