Report: Details On AEW Bringing In Thunder Rosa For All Out 2020

The NWA World Women's Champion recently challenged Hikaru Shida...

On Saturday, NWA World Women's Champion Thunder Rosa shockingly appeared on Dynamite. The Unstoppable One said fans had been demanding it, but TNT and the AEW women's division had been avoiding it. She then revealed "it" was an AEW Women's World Championship match between herself and Hikaru Shida. Rosa then challenged the AEW Women's Champion to face her at All Out 2020 on September 5.

Dave Meltzer shed more light on AEW bringing Thunder Rosa in for All Out on Wrestling Observer Radio. He revealed it was Tony Khan's idea and he ultimately called NWA owner Billy Corgan who was receptive towards the two promotions working together.

Meltzer said: "It was Tony Khan had the idea of Shida against Thunder Rosa, for whatever reason, and went to Billy Corgan, Billy Corgan was fine with it. So, that's probably why they acknowledged the NWA."

NWA has worked with other promotions in recent times, including Ring Of Honor, and Worlds Heavyweight Champion Nick Aldis has previously stated the promotion is "open to working with anyone."
