Report: Details On Planned AEW Revolution 2023 Location

Would be a new city for AEW

The 2023 AEW Revolution could be taking place in a city that has never held an AEW event before, according to a new report from Fightful Select.

Per the report, AEW "tentatively" is looking to hold the 2023 Revolution at the 14,000 seat Cow Palace in San Francisco.

The Cow Palace has a steep history in professional wrestling, from its regular use in Roy Shire's old San Francisco territory, to numerous WCW SuperBrawls, to a number of notable WWE cards, including the 2004 No Way Out (where Eddie Guerrero won the WWE title from Brock Lesnar). New Japan hosted its G1 Special at the Cow Palace in July 2018.

Fightful's report notes that WWE hasn't run the Cow Palace in over a decade, and hasn't filmed TV there in over 15 years.

The date for Revolution has not been announced, though the event is usually held in either late February or the first week of March.

If the location holds, that would almost certainly set AEW's "big four" for the next year. Full Gear is scheduled for Newark on November 19, while May's Double or Nothing and September's All Out are (pandemic aside) exclusively held in Las Vegas and Chicago, respectively.
