Roman Reigns Vs. Logan Paul Official For WWE Crown Jewel

For the WWE Universal championship

Triple H announced at a press conference on Saturday afternoon in Las Vegas that Undisputed WWE Universal champion Roman Reigns will defend his gold against Logan Paul at WWE Crown Jewel on November 5 in Riyadh.

The match was partially set up by a recent appearance Reigns made on Paul's "Impaulsive" podcast. Paul called Reigns out at the end of the podcast, leading to a further exchange on social media. Paul also appeared on last night's SmackDown to set up Saturday's press conference.

The match will be Paul's third in wrestling. He teamed with The Miz to defeat Rey and Dominik Mysterio at WrestleMania 38 back in April, before going on to defeat Miz in a singles match at SummerSlam on July 30.

Reigns has been the unified champion since winning the WWE championship from Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 38. Reigns has held the Universal title since August 30, 2020.

The event will mark the fourth overall Crown Jewel, since the event's inception in 2018 (there was no Crown Jewel in 2020, due to restricted international travel).
