Report: Dexter Lumis Injured His Ankle During The Flip Over The Top Rope Spot On WWE NXT

A move reserved for Ricochet...

On the July 29 episode of NXT, Dexter Lumis, Timothy Thatcher and Finn Balor faced off for the right to advance to the North American Championship Ladder match at NXT TakeOver: XXX. All three Superstars got some of their signature offence in during the 12-minute bout, but The Creepy B*****d picked up the win after trapping Thatcher in a Sleeper Hold and forcing him to pass out.

Lumis was ruled out of the Ladder match last week, however, after WWE Digital revealed he suffered an osteochondral lesion to the ankle during the Triple Threat.

While some questioned whether or not the injury was genuine, reports noted the lesion was legitimate and the former Samuel Shaw won't be back in time for August 22.

How Lumis picked up the injury was revealed yesterday as Bryan Alvarez noted on the F4W Online forums that the NXT Superstar hurt his ankle during the flip over the top rope spot in the match against Thatcher and Balor. The moment was heavily edited on NXT and was widely ridiculed online.
