Report: Double Or Nothing 2020 On Course To Become AEW's Best Selling Pay-Per-View

A success during the pandemic era of wrestling...

Last weekend, All Elite Wrestling broadcast Double Or Nothing from Daily's Place and TIAA Bank Field in Jacksonville, Florida. The pay-per-view has been touted as one of the best wrestling shows of the year and was widely praised across the board. The Elite vs. The Inner Circle in a Stadium Stampede match, Nyla Rose vs. Hikaru Shida, and Jon Moxley vs. Brodie Lee were all marked out for commendation.

Dave Meltzer revealed in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the show is set to be a financial success for AEW as it is currently on course to be the best selling pay-per-view in the young promotion's history. Meltzer noted that streaming numbers on B/R Live and FITE TV were 10 percent higher than Revolution and could end up being closer to 15 percent higher. The February 29 pay-per-view was already the second-most purchased show in company history.

The only thing that would seemingly stop Double Or Nothing from breaking last year's record would be sales through traditional pay-per-view outlets, but no early estimates on buys are currently available.
