Drake Maverick has rejoined WWE once more.

The former 24/7 Champion is now believed to be working backstage as part of Raw’s Creative Team, with PWInsider reporting that Maverick rejoined the WWE around three-to-four weeks back.

Known for his work on the UK indie scene and in TNA as ‘Rockstar’ Spud, Maverick was first hired by WWE in 2017 first as the 205 Live General manager, then later as manager to The Authors of Pain after their NXT call-up.

Maverick would later transition into the comedic 24/7 Division, holding the illustrious green strap seven times before being released by WWE in 2020. After releasing a highly emotional video about his departure, Maverick was later re-signed by WWE, but was released once again in November 2021 after a run in NXT, with WWE citing ‘budget cuts’.

Drake Maverick last wrestled for WWE on Monday Night Raw in November 2021, defeating Reggie for the 24/7 Title. This was Maverick’s only official match on WWE’s main roster during his second run with the company.
