30 years after their last appearance, The Gobbledy Gooker returned to WWE at Survivor Series and captured the 24/7 Championship from R-Truth during the Kickoff Show.
Gooker managed to hold on to the title for a couple of hours but their empty belly became too much after they spotted some chicken feed lying on the floor backstage. This gave Akira Tozawa the opening he needed to roll up Gooker and end their 24/7 Title reign. Truth then appeared from out of nowhere and pinned Tozawa to begin his 45th reign as champion.
According to PWInsider's Mike Johnson, Drew Gulak was under the costume at Survivor Series. Daniel Bryan's former coach has been feuding with R-Truth and Akira Tozawa over the 24/7 Title for the past couple of months but him being The Gobbledy Gooker wasn't referenced during the show.
This isn't the first time Gulak has portrayed The Gobbledy Gooker. He previously played The Gobbledy Gulaker in November 2017 to share his plan for proper table etiquette on Thanksgiving.
