Report: Drew McIntyre Dealing With Back Injury

He's been pulled from this weekend's shows

WWE star Drew McIntyre is currently dealing with a back injury, according to a new report from Fightful Select.

McIntyre has been pulled from this weekend's spate of WWE house shows with what Fightful has simply termed a "rough back injury".

Fightful adds, "We're told that surgery isn't expected, and he simply needs to rest it up, which is easier said than done considering the nature of being a pro wrestler."

McIntyre did wrestle on last night's episode of SmackDown, teaming with Madcap Moss to defeat The Usos in a non-title match. He is still expected to wrestle at Clash at the Castle in three weeks time in Cardiff, where he will challenge Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal title.

The current card for WWE Clash at the Castle, taking place Saturday, September 3 at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, is as follows:

* Undisputed WWE Universal: Roman Reigns (c) vs. Drew McIntyre

* SmackDown Women's: Liv Morgan (c) vs. Shayna Baszler

* Bianca Belair, Alexa Bliss, and Asuka vs. Bayley, Dakota Kai, and Iyo Sky
