Report: Drew McIntyre Dealt With Sickness During WWE Crown Jewel

The Scottish Warrior was feeling rundown in Riyadh

WWE star Drew McIntyre worked this past weekend's Crown Jewel premium live event despite being unwell, according to a new report.

PWInsider noted that the word backstage at the show was that McIntyre had been 'extremely sick' with the flu in the days prior to it. Though far from at 100% physically, the Scottish Warrior gutted it out and made it through his long and gruelling cage match with Karrion Kross.

The report further stated that Drew was adamant he would make it to the show and perform as scheduled.

This is not the only time of late that McIntyre has suffered. In late September he was forced to miss two live event appearances after coming down with a bad case of food poisoning.

Meanwhile, back in August, Drew was taken off the road and missed some house shows so that he could rest his injured back.

Following his victory at Crown Jewel, McIntyre gave a post-match interview where he claimed he was 'done' with Karrion Kross and was now setting his sights on 'bigger prizes' moving forward, seemingly drawing a line under their feud and suggesting that the former WWE Champion will be pursuing championship gold once again.
