Report: Stone Cold Steve Austin Open To Another WWE Match

Could we see Stone Cold come back for another match?

WWE Hall of Famer 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin would be open to wrestling another match, according to a recent report.

Speaking with GiveMeSport, the Twitter account WrestleVotes noted The Texas Rattlesnake was so happy with how things went during his WrestleMania 38 comeback match that he would consider stepping into the ring again.

"I know that he had a wonderful time doing it last year in Dallas. He was happy, he was elated. Let's say that the performance of the match, everything went so well and people loved it so much. So I know he was thrilled post-WrestleMania. And I'd say he was open to doing it again", the insider was quoted as saying.

WrestleVotes did go on to clarify that they hadn't heard whether Austin was factored into plans for the forthcoming WrestleMania 39.

The account also speculated that it would perhaps make more sense to reserve Austin for another major event, given that Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson will likely headline WrestleMania 39.

"If you're gonna get The Rock, do you need both of them? As much as people would say 'absolutely', with all the shows that they do in stadiums now, and I understand WrestleMania is your biggest one, but you could do Rock at WrestleMania and Steve Austin at SummerSlam. That makes more sense"

Austin's No Holds Barred victory over Kevin Owens at WrestleMania 38 was his first match since a loss to The Rock at WrestleMania XIX, nineteen years earlier.

It wasn't originally advertised as an official match, but was made 'impromptu' following Austin's confrontational appearance on the KO Show.
