Report: Drew McIntyre's WWE Contract Ending Soon, New Deal Not "Even Close"

Drew McIntyre's WWE Contract Is Reportedly Up Soon, With No New Deal In Sight

Drew McIntyre has been one of the most prominent WWE stars for the last few years, winning the Royal Rumble, two WWE Championships, and main eventing WrestleMania since 2020. However, his time could well be coming to an end in WWE if both sides don’t come to an agreement.

Per a report from PWInsider, Drew McIntyre’s contract with WWE is now in its final year, with the report stating that the two sides “aren’t even close” when it comes to terms on a new deal and contract. For someone who has been featured so prominently on television, this comes as quite a big surprise.

If he does in fact leave, it wouldn’t be the first time he has parted ways with the company, leaving all the way back in 2015 following a release. This kickstarted a whole new chapter for McIntyre, who reinvented himself and became one of the biggest stars outside WWE for several years, before finding his way back to WWE, finally living up to his billing as “The Chosen One”.
