Report: Eric Young Planned As Member Of New Wyatt Family Before WWE Exit

Eric Young was allegedly earmarked for a role in ‘new’ Wyatt Family before WWE exit

Eric Young recently made his return to IMPACT, ending his latest WWE run before making any on-screen or in-ring appearances.

Young reportedly left WWE due to Vince McMahon’s return, and a new report from Fightful Select suggests that WWE had plans of using Young as part of a new Wyatt Family had his WWE tenure gone differently.

The report suggests that Paul Heyman pitched for Young and Mike Bennett to be part of the new Wyatt Family in 2020, with Young again pitched to work alongside Bray Wyatt, Bo Dallas as Uncle Howdy, and Alexa Bliss in 2023. Creative plans were reportedly set in January and would have kicked into gear after WrestleMania, but Wyatt’s forced absence due to an undisclosed illness put a halt to plans, whilst Bliss has temporarily exited WWE on maternity leave.

Upon Wyatt’s return in late 2022, there were several sightings of the Firefly Funhouse characters come to life on WWE television, with the likes of Huskus the Pig Boy, Ramblin’ Rabbit, Abby the Witch, Mercy the Buzzard, and a separate version of The Fiend all spotted in the lead up to Wyatt’s return at Extreme Rules 2023.
