Report: Several Fans Make 'Outright Racist' Remarks At AEW Revolution

Offensive remarks made during AEW Revolution

While not applicable to the vast majority of the 16,000 fans inside the Greensboro Coliseum for All Elite Wresting's Revolution pay-per-view on Sunday, March 3, some fans decided to make some "outright racist" remarks during the show.

A reader of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter told Dave Meltzer that several fans were "outright racist" at the start of Will Ospreay vs. Konosuke Takeshita. The fans made kung fu references and made offensive remarks about Takeshita before they tried and failed to get a "Take a Sh*t" chant going.

Meltzer wrote in the F4WOnline Daily Update: "Another note is one of our readers who was live at the show said in his section there were fans who only cared about WWE talent on the show and kept calling them as Dean Ambrose, Cesaro or Daniel Bryan and said several were outright racist at the start of Ospreay vs. Takeshita with kung fu and talking in offensive dialect about Takeshita and even trying to get a "Take a Sh*t" chant going that thankfully never went anywhere."

Will Ospreay vs. Konosuke Takeshita has been hailed as one of the matches of the year so far. Ospreay picked up the win following the Tiger Driver '91 and Hidden Blade.
