Darby Allin Reveals His Love For Country Music, Jokes It Is The Original Punk Rock

Darby Allin is a big fan of country music

While most would assume Darby Allin is more of a My Chemical Romance man, the former TNT Champion has revealed his love for country music during an interview with Kerrang!

Allin revealed the song he likes to sing along to is 'Girl from North Country Fair' by Johnny Cash and Bob Dylan before he joked country music was the original punk rock.

"When I'm heading off on a road trip, this is the song I want to sing in the car. It's got something about it. I love old, old country music. It makes me feel like I'm going on an adventure, heading into the unknown, exploring life, not being complacent in my comfort zone, constantly being on the move and being thrown into situations where I don't know what the environment is going to be like. It keeps me on my toes. Was outlaw country the original punk rock? Absolutely (laughs)," Darby said.

Darby had the biggest match of his career at AEW Revolution, teaming with Sting in The Icon's retirement match against The Young Bucks. The match saw Darby jump from the top of a ladder and crash through a pane of glass. Somehow, Darby only required 12 stitches following the spot.

Allin won't be on AEW TV for much longer and he will be stepping away from the promotion from March 27 in order to climb Mount Everest.
