Darby Allin Only Required 12 Stitches Following Crazy Glass Spot At AEW Revolution

Darby Allin largely unharmed despite crazy bump at AEW Revolution

By some minor miracle, Darby Allin walked away from AEW Revolution relatively unscathed.

Allin teamed with Sting in The Icon's retirement match in the main event of Revolution as they successfully defended the AEW World Tag Team Titles against The Young Bucks. Darby carried out arguably his scariest bump to date as he jumped from the top of a ladder in the ring and crashed through a pane of glass on the outside.

Darby's back was covered in cuts following the spot but Bryan Alvarez reported on Wrestling Observer Live that Allin somehow only needed 12 stitches.

"I looked at this guy's back last night and it was like he was wearing a red cape. I thought, 'Oh my god, they're not going to let him back in the match.' They did. He's still streaming blood everywhere out of his back. He needed *pause* 12 stitches. I heard that and I was like, 'Okay, hold a second, you mean 1200 right? 12,000?' 12 stitches. I don't know how but thank god, and that's the story. So, he's on his way to Everest," Alvarez said.

Darby Allin will soon be off AEW TV, revealing during the post-Revolution media scrum that he leaves to climb Mount Everest on March 27. He has one match scheduled before then against Jay White at AEW Big Business.
