Seth Rollins Officially Cleared For WWE In-Ring Return

WWE's World Heavyweight Champion is cleared in time for WrestleMania 40.

Seth Rollins revealed on last night's WWE Raw that he has been medically cleared to return to in-ring competition. The World Heavyweight Champion has been out of action since tearing his MCL and partially tearing his meniscus in a title defence against Jinder Mahal on January 15.

The news will be a relief for Drew McIntyre, who last month won the men's Elimination Chamber match and earned the right to face Rollins for the title at WWE WrestleMania 40. It remains to be seen whether Damian Priest will act upon the information, since mentioning that he was unable to cash-in the Money in the Bank contract while Rollins remained injured.

Additionally, it seems as though a match against McIntyre won't be Seth's only bout over WrestleMania weekend in Philadelphia. Alongside Cody Rhodes, the champion is set to confront The Bloodline on this week's edition of SmackDown. Cody will face Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship on night two of 'Mania.

Rollins is the inaugural World Heavyweight Champion, winning the new title in a tournament final at Night of Champions 2023, where he defeated AJ Styles.
