Major Match Confirmed For WWE WrestleMania 40 Night 2

Headline match set for WWE WrestleMania 40 night 2

WWE have confirmed that one of the headline matches at WrestleMania 40 will be taking place on night two of the Show of Shows. WrestleMania 40 will take place at Philadelphia's Lincoln Financial Field on April 6 and April 7.

One match already confirmed for night two is Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. The two talents look set to pull double duty as The Rock challenged Cody and Seth Rollins to a tag team match at WrestleMania 40 where the Brahma Bull will team with Roman Reigns.

The match has yet to be made official, with Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes confirming during the March 4 edition of Monday Night Raw they will be at Friday's SmackDown to confront the Bloodline in person. Rollins and Rhodes appeared on Raw together and it was confirmed during their segment that Seth Rollins vs. Drew McIntyre for the World Heavyweight Championship would "co-main event" night two of WrestleMania 40.

Rollins also revealed during the segment that he has been officially cleared to return to the ring.

Rollins was originally planned to defend the World Heavyweight Title against CM Punk but Punk suffered a torn triceps during the Royal Rumble. Drew McIntyre earned the title shot by winning the Elimination Chamber. McIntyre has still yet to re-sign with WWE ahead of his contract expiring in April following WrestleMania.
