Roderick Strong Addresses Scary Spanish Fly Spot With Action Andretti

AEW's Roderick Strong gives his thoughts on a scary in-ring moment.

In a recent podcast appearance with Chris Van Vliet, AEW star Roderick Strong spoke about the scary Spanish fly spot in his November 17, 2023 Rampage bout with Action Andretti, where he landed on his head. Strong explained:

"I immediately checked everything, like, 'Okay, I’ve felt it at its worst. Oh, this just feels normal, I’m fine.' You know what I’m saying? And then it just made me super grateful for the training that I was doing, because a lot of it is creating the space in your joints and vertebrae, and working on my flexibility. I was just thankful for that."

Now a member of Adam Cole's villainous Undisputed Kingdom stable, Strong was victorious at Sunday's AEW Revolution pay-per-view, defeating Orange Cassidy to become the new AEW International Champion.

After the match, while celebrating with stablemates Matt Taven and Mike Bennett, Strong was confronted by the returning Kyle O'Reilly, who hasn't wrestled since June 8, 2022. The former teammates hugged, and Strong offered O'Reilly an Undisputed Kingdom t-shirt, inviting him to join the faction. O'Reilly appeared to reject the offer, whispering something in Strong's ear before leaving the ring.
