Report: Finish Of Brock Lesnar Vs. Bobby Lashley At WWE Elimination Chamber Changed Due To Bray Wyatt

Brock Lesnar vs. Bobby Lashley at WWE Elimination Chamber was changed due to Bray Wyatt plans

When Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley’s clash at Elimination Chamber went to a DQ finish, most assumed it’d lead to a blow-off at WrestleMania 39, before it was revealed that the two won’t be fighting once more at the ‘Showcase of the Immortals’.

Lashley looks set to face Bray Wyatt at Mania, whilst Lesnar is due to take on Omos, and according to a report from Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, the DQ finish was not the original plan:

"Originally, what was going to happen was Brock was beating Bobby Lashley at Elimination Chamber and that was going to lead to Brock against Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania and that's why Bray Wyatt did that interview but after they did that, they had to change the finish," Meltzer said.

"That's why we ended up with Lesnar and Omos. Remember I said that this has just changed and it changed from Wyatt but Wyatt had also been the change so I don't know who the original one was, but it was not Gunther, I know that. So, they had two changes in that one in the last few weeks."

Reports suggest that Lesnar turned down the Wyatt match after the idea was presented to him by WWE officials, with Wyatt’s taunting of Lashley on the February 27 Raw seemingly locking in a Wyatt vs. Lashley clash for Mania instead.
