Report: Former Talent Returns To WWE In Coaching Role

A former talent is back with WWE

A former WWE talent is back with the company.

According to Fightful Select, Wesley Blake has returned to WWE in a coaching role and he is involved with training the company's wrestlers. When exactly Blake re-signed with WWE is unknown. He guest coached at the WWE Performance Center in the summer of 2022.

Blake's addition to the coaching team is likely to be a popular decision as it was noted last year the former NXT Tag Team Champion is highly regarded at the WWE Performance Center, as was his work outside of WWE.

Blake previously performed as an in-ring talent for WWE from 2013 until his release in April 2021. He held the NXT Tag Team Titles with Buddy Murphy (now AEW's Buddy Matthews) and he ended his run in WWE as a member of the Forgotten Sons alongside Steve Cutler (now Steve Maclin).

Blake returned to the indies following his WWE release, performing as Westin Blake for the likes of Control Your Narrative, Wrestling REVOLVER and River City Wrestling. He also had one match in All Elite Wrestling, losing to Daniel Garcia at a Dark taping in August 2022.

The 35-year-old has not wrestled since losing an "I Quit" Match to Kaun in September 2022 at River City Wrestling.
