Report: Former WWE Champion Rumoured To Return In Upcoming Draft

A former WWE Champion might be on their way back to WWE TV

A major return could be set to take place during the upcoming WWE Draft on the April 28 edition of Friday Night SmackDown and the May 1 episode of Monday Night Raw.

According to WRKD Wrestling, Big E is rumoured to return as part of the upcoming WWE Draft.

"One name rumored to return during the upcoming draft is former WWE champion, Big E. Big E has been sidelined with a major neck injury since March '22," they tweeted.

Big E has been out of action with a broken neck that he suffered following a botched Belly-to-Belly Suplex from Ridge Holland in March 2022. The New Day member recently stated the bone in his neck was still not ossifying which was holding up an in-ring return.

Pitches have reportedly been made for Big E's return that would see New Day feud with Imperium, with Big E vs. GUNTHER as the centrepiece of the programme.

Outside of WWE, Big E is working as the emcee for the USFL's Michigan Panthers for their 2023 season.
