Spring Breakin' was a rough night for the NXT roster, with Grayson Waller and Sol Ruca both suffering from injuries.

The NXT Women's Championship match also had to be changed on the fly after Indi Hartwell suffered an ankle injury following a senton from Tiffany Stratton to the floor onto Indi and Roxanne Perez. Hartwell's ankle got stuck under Stratton and Indi was immediately checked by WWE's medical team and taken backstage. The NXT Women's Champion then returned in the closing moments to score the victory and successful title defence.

The uncertainty around Hartwell's status for the remainder of the match caused plans to change on the fly at Spring Breakin'. According to Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer, Tiffany Stratton was slotted in to win the NXT Women's Championship while Hartwell was injured but the winner was changed again back to Indi after it was determined the NXT Women's Champion could finish the match.

"They actually changed the finish to Tiffany winning after Indi got hurt, but then Indi managed to make it back out to do the planned finish," Alvarez tweeted.

Hartwell has been NXT Women's Champion since winning a Ladder Match at Stand & Deliver on April 1.
