Report: Former WWE Developmental Talent Signs With AEW

EJ Nduka has signed with AEW

A former WWE developmental talent has put pen to paper on a deal with All Elite Wrestling.

EJ Nduka had a tryout match against Konosuke Takeshita back on the January 28 taping of AEW Dark and it emerged shortly after that All Elite Wrestling had offered the former bodybuilder a contract. At the time it was noted that Nduka was evaluating his options.

In an update, Fightful Select has reported that Nduka signed with AEW at some point after his debut in January and he has been under contract for some time. WWE were interested in bringing in Nduka and there were talks between the two sides. WWE did not follow up on signing Nduka after Senior Vice President Of Talent Operations & Strategy James Kimball was fired, however.

Nduka was previously a developmental talent in WWE between August 2019 and his release in May 2021. He joined MLW shortly after his release and Nduka had one reign as an MLW World Tag Team Champion with Calvin Tankman before leaving the promotion at the start of 2023 when his deal expired.

When Nduka will make his AEW TV debut is unknown.
