Report: Four Horsewomen Match Originally Considered For WWE WrestleMania 38

A big match at 'Mania

Both women's title matches have already been set for WrestleMania 38, with Charlotte Flair scheduled to defend the SmackDown belt against Ronda Rousey while Becky Lynch will put the Raw gold on the line against Bianca Belair.

That seemingly wasn't the original plan, though.

According to GiveMeSport, WWE originally considered a Fatal 4-Way Match between the Four Horsewomen of WWE - Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, Sasha Banks, and Bayley, which would have main evented night one of The Showcase Of The Immortals.

The match was reportedly under serious consideration in November and early December but WWE scrapped those plans once the company found out Ronda Rousey would be able to return for WrestleMania 38, with WWE feeling the former UFC fighter should be in a title match at The Show Of Shows.

Several within WWE also wished to complete Becky Lynch's storyline with Bianca Belair at WrestleMania.

While the match won't take place at WrestleMania, WWE still want to book a Four Horsewomen Fatal 4-Way "before too long" GiveMeSport noted.
