Report: FOX Asked For Charlotte Flair To Be Drafted To WWE SmackDown

A personal request from FOX

WWE's latest roster shake-up began on Friday's edition of SmackDown and the likes of Drew McIntyre, Xavier Woods, Kofi Kingston and Jeff Hardy all moved from Monday Night Raw to the blue brand.

Charlotte Flair was also selected by SmackDown as the fourth pick in the draft and the Raw Women's Champion made her presence felt on October 1 as she took out Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair before a stare down with Becky Lynch to close out Friday's show.

According to Raj Giri of Wrestling Inc, WWE's TV partner FOX specifically asked for Flair to be moved to Friday Night SmackDown during the draft.

Flair previously spent two years on SmackDown from April 2017 until October 2019. She is a five-time SmackDown Women's Champion, having held the title for a combined 193 days.

How WWE plans to address the Raw Women's Title situation remains to be seen. Becky Lynch is currently the reigning SmackDown Women's Champion but she is not eligible to be drafted until tonight's episode of Raw.
