Report: Free Agent Backstage At AEW Dynamite

Is another name coming in?

Following the signings of Keith Lee, Danhausen and others, are All Elite Wrestling set to add another major free agent to their roster?

According to Fightful Select, Original ROH World Champion Jonathan Gresham is set to be backstage for tonight's episode of AEW Dynamite from Bridgeport, Connecticut. Why The Octopus is backstage is currently unknown, however, and Fightful noted they weren't told if Gresham would appear on-screen or do any other work for AEW while at the arena.

Gresham was previously backstage at the December 1 Dynamite show from Duluth, Georgia.

The 33-year-old was previously signed to Ring Of Honor but he has been a free agent since the week after Final Battle in December, when the promotion went on a self-imposed hiatus. Talent were also released from their contracts at the end of 2021.

Since becoming a free agent, Gresham has started his own indy promotion with Baron Black, TERMINUS, and their second show will take place on Thursday, February 24 in Atlanta, Georgia. The Original ROH World Champion has also performed for GCW, PROGRESS Wrestling and other indy promotions along with several matches in IMPACT Wrestling.
