Eddie Edwards To Explain His Betrayal On IMPACT Wrestling

What will Eddie have to say?

Following his betrayal of IMPACT Wrestling at Saturday's IMPACT Plus special, No Surrender, Eddie Edwards will explain his actions on Thursday's show on AXS TV.

Edwards had been loyal to IMPACT Wrestling since joining the promotion in 2014, even wearing an IMPACT logo on his vest, but he turned on the company during the No Surrender main event between TEAM IMPACT and Honor No More, a collection of former Ring Of Honor wrestlers.

Edwards was originally supposed to be on Team IMPACT but a fake backstage attack ruled the former IMPACT World Champion out of the contest.

Edwards headed to the ring during the closing stages of the main event, though, and he initially set up Maria Kanellis for a Gore from Rhino, only to suddenly deck The Man Beast with a kendo stick. Edwards then took out the other members of Team IMPACT, Chris Sabin, Rich Swann, Willie Mack and Steve Maclin, before Kenny King covered Rhino for the victory.

Edwards had previously been a part of the ROH roster from 2006 until 2013.

The segment where Edwards explained himself was taped on Sunday, February 20 in Westwego, Louisiana. Full spoilers from the taping can be found here

Also set for Thursday's episode of IMPACT is a tag team match as Ace Austin and 'Speedball' Mike Bailey team together against X-Division Champion Trey Miguel and Jake Something.
