Report: Further Details On AEW Dynamite Being 'Heavily Rewritten'

More on the AEW Dynamite rewrites

Following Hangman Page's announcement that he had tested positive for COVID-19 and wouldn't be in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for the April 27 edition of AEW Dynamite, the show was reportedly 'heavily rewritten.'

Further details about the rewrites have since been revealed, though, and Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that "a few things were changed" on Dynamite, with the match card being moved around.

Rampage also underwent major rewrites, according to Meltzer, but what exactly was changed on the show is currently unknown.

In an update on Hangman Page, the AEW World Champion is expected to be back on AEW TV next week where an angle with CM Punk will likely take place.

Meltzer noted "a big angle" with Page and Punk was originally set for the April 27 episode but ultimately couldn't take place because of The Anxious Millenial Cowboy's positive COVID-19 test.

Instead, AEW just announced that Page will defend the AEW World Title against Punk at Double Or Nothing on May 29. The Second City Saviour then cut a short promo about how he will fight with everything he has at the pay-per-view.
