Report: Further Details On Tessa Blanchard-WOW Fallout

Update on Tessa Blanchard and WOW

While Tessa Blanchard looked set to return to professional wrestling as part of Women Of Wrestling (WOW), it was previously noted that the former IMPACT World Champion looked to be finished with the company after a falling out

The promotion held their first tapings after a long absence in recent weeks and Blanchard was not in attendance at those events.

In an update, Fightful Select reported Blanchard is not a part of WOW's plans although they could not confirm that The Queen Of The Carolinas had been fired.

Furthermore, issues between Blanchard and WOW have been ongoing since the beginning of the year, with Blanchard said to be "livid" after a January tryout for the show was cancelled by CBS because of COVID-19, which resulted in a lot of money being wasted.

It was also noted that several people who swore they would never work with Blanchard again were convinced to be a part of WOW, only for them to witness "more of the same" from the 26-year-old. Her attitude was also initially viewed as "passion" by WOW management.

Women Of Wrestling owner David McLane and Blanchard have been close over the years and part of the promotion's plan was to rehabilitate Blanchard's image but such are their current issues that multiple people associated with WOW noted that both parties may take legal action.

Blanchard hasn't been a part of professional wrestling since 2020, a year in which she was fired by IMPACT Wrestling and allegations of bullying and racism were made against her.
