Report: Further Details On Vince McMahon's Involvement With WWE SmackDown Creative

There Have Been More Updates On Vince McMahon's Creative Involvement At WWE SmackDown

Vince McMahon’s status amidst WWE SmackDown was a huge talking point coming out of a poorly received episode of the post-WrestleMania Monday Night Raw, with his involvement at the event perhaps acting as an indication of the state of WWE creative going forwards.

Per a report from PWInsider Elite, Vince McMahon sat back remotely for the WWE SmackDown event, only issuing some minor changes to the script rather than any major rewrites, which seemed to be the case on Raw. It was also noted that much of the backstage morale is better than it was on Raw too due to the lack of McMahon’s presence. Further updates have indicated that all of this “was nothing out of the ordinary” for McMahon, especially in relation to the recent trend in Triple H’s creative.

Due to it being WrestleMania weekend with McMahon already in town, it seems as though it may have been a one-off for McMahon running Raw in the way he did, or rather something that will happen only sporadically. It was interestingly noted on commentary during the SmackDown show from Michael Cole that Triple H was the man “running the place”.
