Report: Further Details On Vince McMahon's WWE Raw Return

More on Vince McMahon's WWE Raw return

Further details about Vince McMahon's appearance backstage at the March 6 edition of Monday Night Raw have been revealed.

McMahon was backstage at the show for the first time since he resigned in disgrace from WWE in July 2022 amidst a hush money and sexual misconduct scandal. It was said backstage within WWE that McMahon was simply there to visit John Cena, with both men having maintained a close friendship since McMahon's retirement. Reports indicated there was more to McMahon being at the show than simply seeing a friend.

It was also noted that McMahon is now sporting dyed hair and a moustache similar to that of Gomez Addams from the Addams Family.

In an update, Sports Illustrated reported that McMahon was "laid back" at the Raw taping and he purposely stayed out of the way last week. The 77-year-old was at the gorilla position throughout the evening, sitting between Triple H and Bruce Prichard, but McMahon did not have a headset on and he spent much of the evening on his phone. McMahon was said to have made sure people were aware he was not involved and McMahon hardly raised his head when wrestlers asked Triple H for feedback.

Sports Illustrated speculated that McMahon's appearance was a chess move that opens the door for him to appear at future Raw tapings and possibly WrestleMania 39. McMahon was not backstage for this week's Raw from Providence, Rhode Island.

The 77-year-old forced his way back into WWE in January 2023 to help facilitate a sale of the organisation. He is currently the Executive Chairman of WWE.
