Report: Heat On IMPACT Wrestling Management Following Latest Round Of Tapings

COVID-19 protocols remain a concern...

IMPACT Wrestling held their final TV tapings of 2020 a few weeks ago and all episodes of IMPACT on AXS TV are in the books for the year.

A past report from Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted there was a positive COVID-19 test at the tapings and wrestlers who were in close contact with the individual were told to get tested. Other talent weren't told about the positive test, though, and found out through gossip.

Fightful Select has since reported there was "significant heat" on IMPACT management following the positive coronavirus test. Several wrestlers told Fightful they have never been tested for COVID-19 by the company. Many were encouraged to get tested following GCW The Collective, but IMPACT didn't enforce it at all.

At TV tapings, talent have their temperature checked and check off a piece of paper to indicate they don't have any coronavirus symptoms.

Wrestlers were also frustrated by creative and mentioned the tapings seemed "more unprepared and fly-by-the-seat-of-their-pants" than others held earlier in the year.
