Report: How Kylie Rae IMPACT-NWA Deal Came About

Another entry in the book of the ‘Forbidden Door’

As seen earlier this Summer, Kylie Rae came out of retirement to join the NWA, with it later revealed that she was still under contract with IMPACT Wrestling.

The two sides hashed out a deal to allow Rae to join the historic organisation, and now a report from Fightful Select has shed more light on the working relationship between the two companies.

The report states that Kylie Rae’s transition from IMPACT to the NWA was facilitated by Pat Kenney (fka Simon Diamond in ECW and TNA) who still has a great relationship with IMPACT EVP Scott D’Amore. The report goes on to state IMPACT were allegedly ‘really excited’ to have worked with another company, and there could be more talent exchanges between the two.

It’s also been claimed that IMPACT under D’Amore has become far more easy to negotiate with, with relations good with MLW, and ‘as friendly as it’s ever been’ with ROH.

With IMPACT publicly working on screen with NJPW and AEW, could it be a matter of time before the NWA and ROH make their voices heard in the IMPACT Zone?
