Report: IMPACT Roster Surprised At Kylie Rae's NWA Deal

Rae’s signing with NWA was confirmed this weekend

Kylie Rae returning from retirement and signing with NWA was definitely a surprise to many, including members of IMPACT Wrestling’s roster, of which Rae was a member until her retirement in October 2020.

Until signing with NWA, Rae was still contracted to IMPACT with a deal between the two seemingly hashed out in the last week. Per a report on Fightful Select, the news came as a surprise to many members of IMPACT’s roster, with many unaware a deal was taking place.

Of the IMPACT talent that Fightful spoke to, there was no ill will towards Kylie Rae, and in the wake of her retirement and hiatus from social media those contacted were just glad to hear that she was ok. It has also been reported that Rae herself spoke to some of the IMPACT roster as well as to IMPACT higher-ups and apologised for her absence.

Regardless, Rae’s return to wrestling is a welcome sight, and a great signing by NWA who will need credible additions to their women’s roster to face the new NWA Women’s World Champion Kamille.
