Report: 'Incredible Amount Of Heat' On CM Punk Following AEW All Out Media Scrum

A hostile atmosphere surrounds CM Punk in AEW

Amidst reports of an altercation between CM Punk and The Young Bucks following the AEW All Out media scrum, Fightful Select have stated that CM Punk has "garnered an incredible amount of heat for his comments."

Following his AEW World Title win in the pay-per-view main event, Punk went on a tirade during which he lambasted Colt Cabana, accused All Elite Wrestling's EVPs of spreading lies about the reason Cabana was moved to Ring Of Honor, and called Hangman Page a "dumb f*ck" who went into business for himself.

Immediately after the rant, talent told Fightful Select that Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks were "extremely p*ssed off", with one talent claiming they threatened to walk. Several other talents were also very upset with Punk's comments.

It is believed The Elite were originally scheduled for the media scrum but their appearance was scrapped after Punk's comments, although that has not been confirmed. Furthermore, at least one member of The Young Bucks indicated to talent outside of AEW that recent reports about Punk and his frustration were true.

The current issues behind the scenes in AEW stem from the perception backstage that CM Punk and Colt Cabana's hostilities caused AEW to not plan on renewing Cabana's contract. 'Boom Boom' was ultimately shifted to Ring Of Honor after several talents went to bat for him. Tony Khan denied CM Punk was involved in Colt Cabana being moved to ROH, although Fightful Select did note that Cabana indicated to the AEW President before Punk returned to pro wrestling that he likely would not be happy working in the promotion if Punk was also with the company.
