Report: Indy Talent Being Considered For Private WWE Tryout

WWE are considering a private tryout for an independent talent

Despite reports in 2021 suggesting that WWE were done sourcing talent from the independent scene, it seems that they are still scouting for talent, with a specific name reportedly on WWE’s radar.

Per a report from Fightful Select, WWE are potentially interested in KC Navarro, and are rumoured to be contemplating a private try-out for the indie star.

Navarro has wrestled for the likes of DEFY, Warrior Wrestling, and House of Glory amongst others, and competed for the IMPACT X Division Championship at a Wrestling REVOLVER event in September. Navarro has also made multiple appearances for AEW, serving as enhancement talent in 2020 and 2021.

In 2021, WWE internally made a decision to dial back their recruitment efforts from the independent scene and instead focus their efforts on their NIL programme which recruits collegiate athletes for WWE’s Performance Center. However this is not etched in stone, with NXT’s Shawn Michaels revealing in September of this year that WWE will still monitor the Indies for talent, should the right prospects become available.
