Report: Jake Atlas Injured During AEW Rampage Taping

A knee injury for the new AEW signing

Jake Atlas suffered a potentially serious injury during Wednesday's AEW Rampage taping in Newark, New Jersey.

According to PWInsider, Atlas "blew out his knee" during his match against Adam Cole and he was seen on crutches following the show. There is no word on how long Atlas will be out of action as of yet, though.

Atlas sustained the injury following a Springboard from the apron into the ring and he was caught with a Superkick by Adam Cole. The 27-year-old grabbed his knee following the move and he was unable to go through with the planned Panama Sunrise spot with Cole so the Elite member applied a Kneebar for the submission win instead.

Atlas' injury comes only one day after All Elite Wrestling announced they had signed the former WWE NXT Superstar. The 27-year-old made his debut at the December 28 AEW Dark: Elevation tapings, a match which aired on Monday, January 3.

Rey Fenix also suffered an injury on Wednesday during AEW's live edition of Dynamite. The former AAA Mega Champion suffered a broken arm during The Lucha Brothers' AEW World Tag Team Title defence against Jurassic Express and he was taken to hospital following the match.
