Report: Jamie Hayter Suffers Injury At AEW Battle Of The Belts III

Jamie Hayter could be out of action

An AEW star suffered an injury at the promotion's third Battle Of The Belts special that aired on Saturday, August 6.

According to Fightful Select, Jamie Hayter suffered a broken nose during her AEW Women's World Championship match with Thunder Rosa. How long the former RevPro British Women's Champion will be out of action is currently unknown.

Saturday was the first time Hayter had challenged for the AEW Women's Title. She was ultimately unable to pick up the win, though, losing via roll-up to Thunder Rosa.

Battle Of The Belts was taped on Friday prior to airing the following day. Other matches on the show saw Wardlow defeat Jay Lethal in their TNT Title match, and Claudio Castagnoli retained the ROH World Championship against Konosuke Takeshita in the main event in what has been touted as one of the matches of the year.

Hayter is just the latest AEW talent to suffer an injury in recent months and the likes of Dax Harwood, CM Punk, Adam Cole, Penelope Ford, Kyle O'Reilly, Matt Menard, and Matt Jackson are either out of action, currently working through injuries, or have just returned from time on the shelf.
