Report: No WWE Plans For Lacey Evans

No Lacey Evans for the time being it seems

WWE has undergone a shakeup in recent weeks following Triple H's appointment as head of creative and the likes of Ciampa, Bayley, IYO SKY, Dakota Kai, and Max Dupri have either received a push or returned to TV.

Some talent have been left in limbo since Triple H received a promotion, though, including Lacey Evans who was recently pulled from the July 29 episode of Friday Night SmackDown ahead of a scheduled match against Aliyah. It was stated on TV that Evans wasn't cleared to compete but that doesn't appear to be the case.

According to Fightful Select, there are simply "no immediate creative plans" for Evans and she wasn't considered for Friday's Gauntlet Match on SmackDown to crown a new number one contender for the SmackDown Women's Championship. That match was won by Shayna Baszler and featured Raquel Rodriguez, Shotzi, Xia Li, Sonya Deville, Aliyah, and Natalya.

Those Fightful spoke to noted that Lacey Evans was a favourite of Vince McMahon's and the 76-year-old was hands-on when Evans came to Raw. Her return earlier this year was considered "chaotic and directionless", though, and saw Evans brought back as a babyface before turning heel a short time later.
