Report: Jay White Sidelined For 'A While' With Legitimate Injury

Jay White is dealing with a legitimate injury, according to reports from Fightful Select and Wrestling Observer's Bryan Alvarez. It was also noted by Alvarez that White will be sidelined for "a while" due to an issue he suffered in his match with Hangman Adam Page on the July 7 episode of Collision.

"Jay White. Legitimate injury. Happened in the Hangman match and he is out of action for a while as well," Alvarez said.

It was announced on All Elite Wrestling TV in recent weeks that White was dealing with an injury. This led to the Bang Bang Gang being stripped of the AEW Unified Trios Championships and The Patriarchy defeated the Bang Bang Gang's Juice Robinson and The Gunns to win the belts on the July 20 episode of Collision.

Some questioned if White's injury was part of the storyline to crown new Trios Champions but his injury is legitimate. The exact nature of White's injury is unknown.

White's match with Hangman Adam Page was part of the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament. The men's tournament would ultimately be won by Bryan Danielson and he will challenge for the AEW World Championship at All In.
