Report: JD McDonagh Diagnosed With Broken Ribs & Punctured Lung Following WWE Raw Injury

JD McDonagh has been diagnosed with broken ribs and a punctured lung following an injury on Monday Night Raw. McDonagh has announced the injury will keep him out of action for a couple of months.

"First off, thanks to everyone for the messages and the concern. I'm good. I've got a couple of broken ribs and a punctured lung, so I'm going to be out for a couple months. All things considered, it could have been a lot worse, so I'm grateful for that. See ya in a bit," McDonagh posted on X/Twitter.

It was reported by Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer that McDonagh was taken to a local hospital following his match on Raw. McDonagh teamed with Judgment Day stablemate Dominik Mysterio to challenge the War Raiders for the World Tag Team Titles on the show.

The former Jordan Devlin was injured early in the match following an Asai Moonsault to Ivar on the outside. McDonagh's upper spine/neck area smashed against the announce table following the move, causing his neck to whip back.

McDonagh was checked on by WWE's medical team but he waved them off and finished the match, with the War Raiders retaining after pinning Dominik Mysterio.

The War Raiders have been World Tag Team Champions since defeating JD McDonagh and Finn Balor for the belts on the December 16, 2024 episode of Raw.

Plans are in motion for McDonagh's Judgment Day faction mates Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez to receive a push as a tag team heading into WrestleMania 41.
