Report: John Cena Vs. Roman Reigns Locked In For WWE SummerSlam 2021

There had been concerns after Cena signed up for a new movie

John Cena's main-event match with Universal Champion Roman Reigns is reportedly locked in for WWE SummerSlam next month despite Cena signing up for a new movie that starts filming in August.

Cena has been rumoured to be facing Reigns for the Universal Championship at the Biggest Party Of The Summer in Las Vegas, returning to the WWE for the first time since April of last year.

The 16-time WWE Champion has been cast in a new spy thriller, 'Argylle', which is due to start filming next month in Europe, leading to speculation that Cena may in fact be missing SummerSlam due to his new movie commitments.

However, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Cena is free of acting responsibilities from now up until SummerSlam and the match between him and Reigns is now a cert for SummerSlam 2021 on Saturday 21 August.

The report goes on to say that Cena will possibly start filming for 'Argylle' after SummerSlam 2021 but could take a few days off.
