Report: Johnny Gargano Injured At WWE NXT TakeOver: In Your House

At NXT TakeOver: In Your House, Johnny Gargano tried to reclaim the North American Championship when he went one on one with Keith Lee. Johnny Wrestling put up a valiant effort as he worked over Lee's fingers and even poked him in the eye with a set of car keys, but he was unable to overcome The Limitless One and was pinned in the centre of the ring. 

The hard-hitting affair lasted 20 minutes, and Gargano seemingly came away from the match a little worse for wear as Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that the former NXT Champion injured his hip and lower back. Meltzer noted he doesn't know how serious the injury is. 

Meltzer said: "Johnny Gargano hurt his hip and low back in his match with Keith Lee. I don't know how serious it is."

What Johnny does next remains to be seen. His loss to Lee was his third consecutive TakeOver loss, which would suggest he will spend him sometime in the mid-card before climbing the card once again. There are numerous potential opponents for Gargano as he could reignite his previous rivalry with The Velveteen Dream, or even face off against someone new like Karrion Kross.
