A rematch may take place at the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door pay-per-view at New York's UBS Arena on Sunday, June 30.

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, there has been talk about booking Jon Moxley vs. Tetsuya Naito at Forbidden Door. It is unknown if the match will be for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship as Moxley is scheduled to defend the title against EVIL first on June 9 at Dominion.

"I think there was some talk of Naito at Forbidden Door," Meltzer said about Moxley's upcoming plans.

Jon Moxley defeated Tetsuya Naito to win the IWGP World Heavyweight Title at Windy City Riot on April 12. Moxley has since successfully defended NJPW's top title against Powerhouse Hobbs, Ren Narita, and Shota Umino. A future match with Konosuke Takeshita has been teased on AEW TV.

In addition to All Elite Wrestling and New Japan Pro-Wrestling, STARDOM will "definitely" be a part of Forbidden Door, according to Rocky Romero. CMLL are also "very likely" to be involved with the show in some capacity.

STARDOM's working relationship with AEW has expanded in recent months, with Mina Shirakawa making regular appearances on All Elite Wrestling programming. CMLL and AEW, meanwhile, have been partnered since 2023 and the promotions have exchanged talents for the past several months.
