Report: Kenny Omega Expected To Make AEW Return As Young Bucks Tag Team Partner

Kenny Omega's return seemingly draws closer

Kenny Omega seemingly won't be away from All Elite Wrestling for much longer.

The rumour mill about when The Best Bout Machine will return to the ring has been swirling for months and reports in July noted that Omega and The Young Bucks were scheduled to be involved in a six-man tag team match at September's All Out pay-per-view, with Omega noting that he hoped he would be back in time.

Since then, All Elite Wrestling have announced a tournament to crown the inaugural AEW World Trios Champions and The Young Bucks, having thawed relations with Hangman Page, asked if the former AEW World Champion would be their tag team partner. Page, while reconciling with The Bucks, noted he would not be in the tournament and would instead be in Dark Order's corner.

This still leaves The Young Bucks without a tag team partner and PWInsider reported that "just about everyone" expects Omega to make his return and end up as Matt and Nick Jackson's partner in the trios tournament. The Bucks and their partner are scheduled to be in action in a first-round match next week against Andrade El Idolo, RUSH, and Dragon Lee.

Omega has been out of action for several months while he recovers from numerous injuries. The Cleaner's last match was back at Full Gear in November 2021 when he dropped the AEW World Championship to Hangman Page.
