Report: Kenny Omega Undergoes Hernia Surgery

Kenny Omega undergoes another surgery

Kenny Omega has been on the shelf since he dropped the AEW World Championship to Hangman Page at Full Gear in November 2021 and a new update on The Best Bout Machine's recovery has emerged.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Omega is currently recovering from a recent hernia surgery. It was noted back in March the former AEW World Champion would be undergoing surgery at the end of that month but it appears Omega's procedure was delayed.

The recovery time from hernia surgery is two months which means Omega could return to the squared circle as early as late June. The joint AEW and NJPW pay-per-view, Forbidden Door, will take place in Chicago on June 26.

The Best Bout Machine was banged up throughout his AEW run due to his time in New Japan Pro-Wrestling to the point that he was performing with several injuries in 2021, particularly to his knees and shoulders. He underwent arthroscopic knee surgery in March.
