WWE’s current injury list is filled up with some very notable names, two of whom are former world champions and main eventers, Randy Orton and Kevin Owens. There has been no word on their current conditions or talk of comebacks in recent months, but a promising report has finally emerged regarding both of these individuals.

According to a report from Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, both Owens and Orton are expected to be returning to WWE soon. Despite it being noted that Orton claimed he wasn’t injured, the report states he was in fact injured and was originally scheduled to defeat Cody Rhodes for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 42, but his back was not in good enough condition. A return for Orton is expected as soon as next week. In the case of Owens, it is said that he’s dropped weight after his long road to recovery after neck surgery.

Owens was initially ruled out of action back in early 2025, revealing the need for neck surgery with a timeline on his return being uncertain. Orton hasn’t been seen since competing at WrestleMania 42 earlier this year.
