Update On Kevin Owens' Injury Status

Kevin Owens has been out of action for a full year after revealing to fans that he needed to undergo neck surgery, keeping his in-ring future uncertain, as he refused to rule out the prospect of retiring. This ruled Owens out of WrestleMania 41 where he was scheduled to wrestle Randy Orotn. There has now been an update on Owens’ future in WWE and the condition of his neck following his successful surgery. 

BodySlam+ has reported that sources revealed plans for Owens to undergo a re-evaluation in the summer months of this year to see how far along his neck recovery process is progressing. Not only that, but another source has revealed that those in WWE are actually hopeful for Owens to return to the ring at some point in 2026, suggesting that things are looking positive. 

In November of last year, fans thought Owens was teasing a comeback due to him taking to social media to post a black-screened teaser with his entrance music playing. However, this did not lead to Owens’ resurfacing on WWE programming at the time.
