Report: Kofi Kingston Injured On WWE SmackDown

Kofi Kingston Is Reportedly Injured Following WWE SmackDown

The plans for Kofi Kingston ahead of WrestleMania 39 could be up in the air as he has reportedly been on the receiving end of an injury following the most recent episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown.

Per F4W Online, Dave Meltzer reported that Kofi Kingston has suffered from a leg injury. Currently, the details surrounding this injury are unconfirmed and unclear, and it isn’t known if this will affect his ability to compete on next week’s episode of SmackDown or at WrestleMania 39 itself if he is indeed set to wrestle on the show.

Kingston was involved in a large brawl involving LA Knight, Sheamus, Karrion Kross, Drew McIntyre, and his fellow New Day stablemate Xavier Woods, as the hunt for the Intercontinental Championship and a match against GUNTHER at WrestleMania heated up. On the March 10 episode of SmackDown, Kingston is set to compete against those aforementioned names (aside from Woods), to get a spot at WrestleMania, and as of today he hasn’t been taken out of the lineup.
